Mindo is a rural parish in Ecuador just 2 hours from Quito (80 km - 48 miles), which is located in the canton of Los Bancos in the Pichincha province. Mindo is known for its famous ecotourism growth in the Mindo - Nambillo Protect Forest. The beautiful landscapes and the flora and fauna exuberant of this cloud forest attract all kinds of travelers and adventurers.

Mindo is located between a high altitude area and the tropical jungle that gives it excellent biodiversity characteristics. You can find more than 500 species of birds, orchids, bromeliads and more than 40 species of butterflies. The temperature fluctuates between 15ºC and 24ºC (60ºF - 75ºF). We begin our tour early in Quito, taking the road to Mitad del Mundo - Calacalí - Los Bancos - Esmeraldas. When we arrived in Mindo we visited the butterfly garden and enjoyed ecological walks to the rivers and waterfalls.
